I hate to say it, but I really like the Yamaha 321 for high school use. It is the best combination of durability, intonation, tone quality and workmanship for the price. The St.Pete loses in workmanship, durability and especially intonation. The Jupiter, I will never recommend Jupiter. I have to check out the VMI, I don't know it. I have had bad luck with the Cervany. When you buy a Yamaha it rarely comes down to luck. They are very consistent.

I am a tuba player and a high school band director. I have bought Yamahas for my school and I have no regrets. (Putting my money where my mouth is)

P.S. Miraphones do not hold up to high school use. They are good horns but I don't think rotaries are ever a good choice for school use. They need far more attention than pistons.
