In the circumstances you listed, (ie. not without mouthpiece, for a short period of time) would it be a viable alternitive to buzz into one of the example mouthpieces? The ones that have a substancial amount of the cup cut away so you can see what your lips are doing?
Just (i need to buzz more as well) curious
