what you noticed on the 2000 series is correct. they changed the 5th valve. i remember someone also telling me that the whole valve section was slightly different but i am not sure; and since i do not have a regular 2155 to compare with, i'll have to let that one go. as for the sound, i am very happy with the 2000 series. one thing i noticed about the 2000 seires is that they do tend to vary alot from horn to horn. maybe this is due to the hand hammering of the different parts. I tried 3 of them at dillon music plus either 1 or 2 more from the original batch at warren's house and the were all extremely different. i guess this just goes to show that you should try as many horns as you can before purchasing one. As for my 2155 2000 series, i love it.
