It also helps to remind yourself right before you go into the room, that these judges are just like you only a little older. They have all been in exactly the situation your are in: they have all felt like throwing up right before AND right after an audition; they have all come out of an audition room at some point in their career thinking that they had played the piece better in the warm-up room; they have all fracked a scale in an audition. It may have been a few years, but they have all experienced those things. They have all also felt the thrill of a successful audition, and the musical doors that that audition opened for them. For that one reason, it is very important to remind yourself that the judges really do WANT you to have a successful audition. They're on your side. They might point out a few things that you could do better, but if the shoe was on the other foot, someone better or more experienced than them could point out a few things that THEY could do better on the same music!

Remind yourself of these things, then forget about them and get into the musical zone. Once you get there, you won't be thinking about the judges, anyway.
