One of my earliest records as a child was the original Tubby the Tuba in an album of two 10" vinyl 78s. Jaenkel was the solo tubist, though I don't know if he had an album credit. I actually know an adult for whom this was his FIRST record, and he still has it. Talk about a collector! I believe it was Arnold Jacobs who identified Jaenkel as the soloist, and I still figure he would have known. The narrator was Victor Jory, a Hollywood character actor. He's in Gone with the Wind, the white trash share cropper Wilkerson who returns after the war as a carpetbagger. You know the scene? "I came to make you a right fine offer on Tara." Scarlett throws the dirt in his face, "That's all the Tara you'll ever see." That's him, Tubby's first narrator.

Herb Jaenkel went on to become the tuba player of the LA Phil. Roger Bobo was his successor in 1964? Give or take a year or two.
