I was wondeirng if anyone might be able to help me with the value of a horn that I am acquiring. It is a Meinl Weston 20 with a recording bell. I just had all the dents taken off of the bell which is detachable. The horn has some dents but not many. I had the rotary valves worked as well as the slides. I have played this horn a bit and I just do not think that it is for me. The horn was manufactured in 1971 and is a bb flat horn which I am sure you already know. I want to try and get a CC and the Mrs. has told me I have to save at least half of the money for a horn before we can go take out a loan. I already play a Yamaha YFB 822 which I love. I am looking to go to grad school in a year and a half so I want to try and have at least a year on CC before I go. I am also looking for ideas on a CC. I would like at least a good 5/4 or possible 6/4 horn. Any advice as always will be appreciated. Thank you once again for your time.
