Arnold Jacobs, in one of his seminars, helped me with my double-buzz.
According to him the cause is from the air passage closing off/getting
smaller. I, like yourself, found that my double buzz came when I had
practiced alot in the upper register (around F on the staff) and I thought
it was due to fatigue. That was not incorrect. The fatigue caused me
to tense up when playing in the upper register in a poor attempt to keep
pitch up. This caused my air passage to tense up and get smaller, thus
creating the double buzz. Mr. Jacobs had me work on opening the throat
when ascending, keeping the air passage open. I would think "ah" or
"oh" (as in hoe). This worked quite well. That master class was years
ago, I don't have the problem anymore and my sound has been much better
ever since.

Good luck,

Michael (no relation to Kenny) G.
