Hmm. Flutter tongueing and multiple tonguing are two totally different techniques. Flutter tonguing in raising the tip of the tongue to the roof of the mouth while playing to cause the tongue to actually vibrate like the lips which makes a growling type sound.

Multiple tonguing to used to articulated very fast passages where a single tongue cannot mechanically keep up. To learn multiple tonguing, buy a metronome and a copy of the Arbans. Practice the multiple tonguing excercises contained within Arbans at very slow speeds to build coordination. Only slowly increase speed over several weeks as the coordination becomes part of the motor memory.

Have patience. If you put the time in, you should have a pretty good grasp of the basics within a week.
