If you are one who does the Ebay thing, bass bones frequently pop up there for very economical prices. If not, you can save quite a bit of money by doing single valve. Doug Yeo (I think) has supported the 1 valve bass bone quite a bit. Especially if this is for orchestral stuff, the second trigger is hardly used at all. Just a suggestion if you are looking to save a few bucks. Along similar lines, if this is going to be for orchestral music, I would stay away from Kings. I played one recently (though a fairly old horn) and it seemed too bright to be well-suited for orchestral playing. But different people have different tastes . . .
