He has a Bill Bell model given to him by by Bill Bell back in the long ago days. Sam said that Bell heard him play at either Tanglewood or for the Kennedy center opening and said he wanted Sam to have his horn...So, bell loaded up the horn in his Caddi and drove to Miami. It does not have a detachable bell but I gaurantee it is a Bell model. I'm sure he's played on 2145's and what not since isn't that the "Pilafian model" but his baby is the Bell.
