I use a standard Conn slide grease on my pre-set slides and a combination of three things on my mobile tuning slides. First I clean off all residue (as you should any time that you grease slides), then I apply a coating of Trombotine. Next, I put 2-3 drops of Conn Formula 3 silicone and spread it out carefully with my fingers. I do that about one a week when practicing for 3 hours daily. You could do it every other for casual playing. I also spray my slides one a day and before concerts with a standard trombone water bottle. I learned this combination from a man that has been playing trombone for 35 years and have learned that it works really well on mobile tuning slides on tubas.
I hope that this has helped,
