My old Missenharter had four valves, and the production details of the fourth valve differ from the other three. At first I thought this might mean it was subsequently added, but I'm now of the opinion that the fourth valves were made as stock items, and added to three-valve horns during assembly for horns to be sold with that option. This means that the fourth valve might not have been made at the same time as the other three, hence the differences in the details.
