Mike Grose is tubist of the Savannah Symphony, and a wonderful player and teacher. He studied in Chicago with Jacobs, and has performed many times with the CSO. I taught bass trombone at Brevard a couple of summers ago, and had the pleasure of sitting next to Mike in the faculty orchestra. He's a great musician, and highly regarded by his students there. If he's a little hard to get in touch with these days, have patience...his wife recently underwent a liver transplant, and he has his hands full at the moment. He is planning to be at Brevard this summer.
