Definetly try it if you have the budget and don't forget to post about the result!
Floyd Cooley told me there is a 1% difference on his Nirschl, but his Nirschl was handmade. New and non-handmade tubas are supposed to have better results than the old/handmade instruments.
I think it is an amazing process and I want to try it sometime when I have the money.
I am thinking this process + good valve alignment work will make a good tuba sound even better and easier to play.
This process is also good for damaged tubas,
