Agreed Neil, in all of the very-similar posts about students picking out horns,
NOT ONE has mentioned any discussion about MP's with the sales person(s). Of course,
just because all of the very-similar posts don't even hint at MP discussion
doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't happen, but it DOES mean that (as you point out)
these (typically) young students are possibly not mindful of a MP's influence on
horn performance, selection, and long-term suitability for them
