all major scales follow the same pattern. starting on any chromatic note, simply go up the following number of steps: 1, 1, 1/2, 1, 1, 1, 1/2
minor scales simply follow a different pattern.
harmonic minor: 1, 1/2, 1, 1, 1/2, 1 1/2, 1/2
pure (natural) minor: 1, 1/2, 1, 1, 1/2, 1, 1
melodic minor is a little different, in that in follows one pattern going up and another going down.
going up: 1, 1/2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1/2
going down, it is the same as the pure minor.
