The difference between a professional and an amateur is a 15 minute interview and a consistant paycheck.

Practice gained over time will many times yield some professional experience.

Experience gained over time will many times yield a seasoned professional.

Seasoning gained over time will many times yield a retired professional.

Retirees gained over time will many times yield a legacy.

Legacy gained over time terminates in death. (That part sucks)

There are good and not so good "musicians" at all levels. It usually takes a long time and a lot of work to reach each level. We will all finish our careers the exact same way. Be patient and persistant and happy on the way.
