I would think it impressive if Conn made a 6/4, .770" bore (Do we have any takes for short-stroke?) valve set based of the old 2xJ series, could build on in CC as Conn-Grand Orchestral, and one in BBb as King-Monster Bass (those the right terms?). Was the tooling for these old horns some of what was "lost" back in Conn's dark-ages? If so, then this would be quite a project. I think it would be kinda nice to have an American horn to compete against the Swiss YorkBurrner, and German(?) Nirschl.
But then again, it is nice have an American manufacture putting out some true American tubas.
