While I realize that bringing in outside judges would make the competitions more expensive, I am grateful that you have acknowledged that there may be merit in the suggestion to have "non-tubist" judges.
To clarify my position on these matters, it is not that I "distrust the system" but that I think a few changes would improve the competitions. Your selection of "contrabass friendly" repertoire for the youth competition is a big step in the right direction.
