The Gronitz PF125 is a large bore 4+1 Tuba. It has a big sound, but can sound really sweet with the right approach. Tommy Johnson just bought one and he sounds GREAT on it! They DO make the 'Cooley' style tuba, I've ordered one with a goldbrass bell, tuning jigger on the main slide and 6 valves. I'm anxious to play it as I played Floyd's some time ago and LOVED it. All NINE of the Gronitz that I've played have been SUPERIOR tubas; I want two for myself. Check out their web site:
