I can only go with the 20-25 times I have seen him perform live since 1974. The majority of his playing was done on a small F, but he rocked out on BBb alot also. I don't ever remember him not having two tubas with him on stage at any given time, but old age has a habit of clouding one's memory.As a native New Yorker (GO YONKERS!!!!)I was able from an early age to hear alot of great players and appreciate their playing.
