I think they are great horns. They feel much more student line than the 621, and only came in 3 valves. I have seen them used professionally in Dixie bands (cubs game) and I never understood why they changed to the top action. Some yahoo probably figured if the kids did not have to reach around the instrument, it would be easier to play.
If you want a similar horn with 4 valves, the weril is very nice, and a great price. I actually like the way Jupiter tubas play too, but they don't offer the front action.
