A semi-invisible (flush-mount) patch can be made very quickly with a piece of brass round stock of the appropriate diameter:

- Select a piece of brass round stock that fits the hole almost perfectly.
- Grind the end of the stock to match the interior curvature of the tubing.
- Support the stock in place and low-temp. silver-solder the stock into the hole - making the ground-off surface flush with the interior of the surrounding tubing.
- Roughly chop off the excess.
- Carefully file, sand, and buff the patch flush with the exterior...
