I feel your pain. I play an Eb and I have experiemented(sp?) a little with mp's. It is such a personal thing. Some people like deep cups, some like shallow cups. Some people like sharp rims and some like rounded rims. The mp that I use is the TU33. It has a pretty big cup with a more rounded rim. It has a completely different feel than the conn-helleburg. I can really belt out the low notes and I can still play in the high register. I tried a smaller mp for a while and I could not play low as easy and it did not help my high register at all.
The TU33 is my mouthpiece of choice for now. Good luck with your search and let us know what you finally decide to go with.
