I am surprized that any American tubist would want a compensating CC tuba! I thought all professional tubas had to be exact copies of Arnold Jacobs York with the slides arranged so that it can be played like a bass trombone. Wouldn't all those sharp bends and two trips through the valves be almost intolerable and what roll would be taken on by the fifth valve?
