I sold a 186 5V pro for $4500 in 1997 that was bought new in 1972.
The tuba had 3 dents in it and came with a gig bag and case. I paid $1700 for in 1972.
The tuba was very good. The buyer thought it was well worth it once he played it and didn't even try to lower the price.
So, one never knows.
