There is a Josef Lidl instrument shop in Burn, Czech republic and I believed these instruments are made there.
Various instruments are imported to the US stamped as Lidl instruments, including strings, woodwinds, brass and Kodaly. I've seen several of the brass instruments including a double bell flugel horn (one side muted). The helicon I played was OK, but East European quality. I've seen worse.
I wondered if these instruments were actually made by the Amati/Cerveny factories. Perhaps a European subscriber could shed some light on Lidl.
