If this is the horn to call your own, for many years of service, I'd go with the Mirafone. I was picking up my 1910ish King from Dillons after some minor repairs and wanted to compare it versus the new King. I like the new King, VERY similar to mine. Then Matt brought out the 1291. I'd hardly played any notes but thought to myself - WOW, this is the horn for me. Matt and my wife were sitting and talking at the other end of the room. When I stopped playing they said they both had agreed that I sounded so much better on the 1291 than on the 2341 or my horn. So if we ever have some windfall, I've got the OK to get a 1291, but I'm not holding my breath.
