The Buescher was my instrument. I've played it both w/the New York Phil and Chicago Symphony when I've played as an extra.

The valve set is Meinl Weston. All valves are vented and move in the same direction. Comes with both a long and short tuning slide.

This instrument, without a doubt, is an incredible tuba. It plays very well in tune, has a sweet "french horn" type of tone and would be a terrific audition and "after" audition horn.

Since my playing has become more diverse and leaning towards solo and small ensemble stuff, it was impractical for me to keep it. While I believe the Buescher is a terrific "all-around" tuba - it's an all-around tuba like the Meinl 2155 is an all-around tuba - if you can understand that.

Someone will get a really wonderful instrument when they purchase it. Matt has done an outstanding (as always) job of building it.
