I'd say that if they are willing to get you a horn that you can take with you, get an Eb. You're not in Korea for much longer and when you get stateside you won't have the time to finetune your transposition chops. Eb is very easy for a euph player to transpose. It'll be fine in quintet and tuba quartet. It'd even do in a pinch in the small 40 piece concert bands that the Army offers.

Oh yeah... if you don't want to lay tuba at your next assignment - don't EVER tell them you can play tuba. Joe Newby did... and he ended up playing sousa on ceremonies for about a year at Fort McPherson.
