I'll second that. Nice album, albeit a bit obscure... Who cares? For some more Butterfield, be sure to get a copy of "The Cat" by Jimmy Smith. No solo tuba, but fat, massive big band tutti playing.(Verve 539 756-2). While we're at it: Milt Jackson recorded an album called "For Someone I Love", by "Milt Jackson and Big Brass" (Riverside, OJCCD-404-2) featuring bass player Major Holley as tubist. Another oddity, for sure, but really fun listening. And Clark Terry sits in the band on that one too.

"Clark Terry was a fine trumpet player". Please tell me he's still with us? The only player I've ever heard of who could triple tongue WHILE circular breathing.
