I played a Miraphone Eb at the ITEC in North Carolina and loved it. I think that horn would be great for someone wanting one horn to do it all. It has a big sound. Markus Theinhart(sp?) did a solo with orchestra on the horn and completely filled the large auditorium with sound. The one I played had a great range from top to bottom. The low end was open and free. The middle register spoke clearly, very little stuffiness. The highs came out with little effort. The only thing negative was that the valves had some suction issues making a "plunger" type noise when depressed, but they were smooth. That was probably just a new horn thing or the type of oil.

It has a CC type of sound which is why I may buy one myself to do all my playing on. I played it and a Besson back to back. The Miraphone had a bigger, fuller sound.
