If the tuba situation is truly as silly in Deutche orchestras as represented by those posting in this thread, I suppose if some American wanted to play so badly that - if they were hired - were willing to give nearly all of their wages away in taxes and then eek out a living with the very little that would be left over ("When in ______ , do as the _______ do."), I suppose this Fafner would be "the" choice of rotary BBb
tuba to purchase and cart over there for an audition.
Personally, I haven't blown on any rotary BBb other than this Fafner M-W that would be an instrument that - to me - would be one on which a job could be won.
