Though it was a great idea and turned out to be a very nice instrument indeed, I really don't believe that a tremendous amount of energy went into the design of this tuba, as it is simply a cut-down of the King Symphony Bass BBb. Further, rather than "fitting" the 4th valve slide tubing into the body of the instrument, that tubing is merely "tacked on" to the side.

I encourage you to send any feedback that you have to Selmer-Conn in Eastlake.

Additional bracing is almost always good, provided the added bracing is not attached to other parts that also are greatly prone to damage.
