I agree about the size issue. Use the largest mouthpiece that feels comfortable and fits
the horn, then stick with it and your chops will develop if you do the right exercises.

I use a 1 1/2G on my Hirsbrunner euph, it provides a beautiful dark tone due to the deep, funnel-shaped cup. It also makes the range down to low B & pedal notes a really outstanding part of the horn, just as natural as the middle register. I'm finding that my Willson euph works best with a smaller mouthpiece (4G), since it is more of a high-register horn.
