I can one-up that. I conduct the Las Vegas Brass Band. The manager of the band is a Brit named Pete Cooper. Pete was the trumpet player with the New Vaudeville Band of "Winchester Cathedral" fame. Pete later had a smoking lounge act here in Vegas. Get this, the bass player of the band was also the lead trumpet player. He did both at once. He hammered the notes on bass with his left hand and played the trumpet with his right. Sounds like a lie, but there is video proof of it. "Lucretia McEvil" has got to be heard to be believed. Playing the funk bass lines and the melody on trumpet in the stratosphere. And, for as astounding as John Alred is, his dad, Bill, is better.
