OK, with all of the posts that I have read about this subject I didn't see this said, so I thought I'd say it. Congratulations to Mike on his selection for this position. As a former (and future I hope) Central Florida resident it's nice to see a local make good. The summer in Tanglewood will certainly be more comfortable than in Winter Park. (As someone who has played more than my share of summer concerts outdoors in Winter Park). I'm sure that Mike knows that he's always welcome back if he needs a break from the Boston winters.
Congratulations again, and congratulations to all who participated in the auditions for having what it takes to be considered. It's a shame that only one can be selected when there are so many great players, but that's the way the world works.
