My primary instrument is a Bach 50B3 with the large bell. I also play a Willson 2900 euphonium. There is much more back pressure on the euph and the 'bone is much more free blowing. I find the Willson seems to help with the volume. Just a breath of air, and the horn resonates. I can play louder with the Bach 'bone, but it takes much more air. The horn doesn't seem to help as much. My opinion, for what it's worth. Jim Tyler
