Well, I just received a few copies of the Bower Murphy Advanced Etudes book-the new edition from Charles Colin. Amazingly, it's bound wrong-the wonderful two-page etudes require a page turn (impossible while playing most of them). It's exactly the same problem that occurred with the Blahzevich Concert Duets from Encore Music. There are also pages that are sequenced out of order. I ordered four for my students and they're all identical. For $12.50 a piece I was hoping for better. The etudes are great but why should one have to go through the trouble of reformatting them to be playable?
