If you want to own a curiosity, that's fine, but don't expect the smaller bell on a double-bell euphonium to sound like anything better than a stuffy valve trombone at best. There is a reason why they are no longer made, and I'd suggest that if you are looking to do a lot of playing, a lighter-weight, single-bell instrument would be more satisfying to play. I've played several, and found even the best of the double-bell genre to be about as satisfying as cold soup - just my $0.02.
