Must be some horn! I would have a very tough time fully evaluating a horn that just "passed through" my shop one day. I've had my hands on some horns that sounded excellent at first.... then revealed some pretty nasty characteristics after a while. I am currently playing B & S stencil from the 70's that I'm very impressed with but I'll reserve judgement until I 'really get to know the horn'. BTW, what kind of mouthpiece did you use?
