Hello out there. This is my first posting here. My dad, Donald Zale was a charter member of the Eastman Wind Ensemble under Fennel. He also played in the Rochester Philharmonic before playing in the Navy Band in DC. This was in the mid to late 1950's. At some point he picked up an F tuba made by Anton Huller. I have it and it is in less than good condition. I'm wondering if anyone knows about the maker and whether the instrument is worth repairing (more like restoring). I have some photos of it posted on a website.
The URL is www.zale86.net/tubapics There is also a photo of myself taken in 1977 with my Dad's C horn which I played through High School. It is now owned by David Grego and has been modified to play 1/4 tones by the addition of a fifth valve. My hope is that one day he will be willing to sell the instrument back to me.
Thanks for reading!
