a repairman will have to modify parts to work because a "factory" thumb trigger will expect the fifth valve stop arm to be on the other side of the valve and spin "up and down" rather than "side to side".
A repair guy may have parts on hand that can be made to work. As far as parts go, the uniball linkages used on Rudi (and other) tubas aren't cheap.
I'd have Lee Stofer do it if I were you as he often has some Rudi parts on hand.
