Thanks everyone, I'm listening. I had a suggestion that I go to the local HS band director and propose a "deal" to borrow an instrument that may need some reasonable repair and use it for awhile to toot on with the understanding of paying for the repair and returning the horn at some point. I thought this was an interesting and good suggestion, at least to get an idea of what I might want, or not want!!
Has anyone ever done this before with any success?
