That's exactly what I thought about for future reference if I choose to return to audition again. It would behoove anyone who plans to travel with their instrument to use bubblewrap. At least then, the folks in security might understand that "F-R-A-G-I-L-E" spells "FRAGILE" - but then again, wishful thinking...

Also, when you travel aboard an airplane with your valves and slides taken out, they tend to dry out pretty badly, so make sure you have plenty of slide lubricant and valve oil with you. The sound it makes when you put your valves back in is dreadful unless you do...sheesh...
