  I hope that was a joke about sandblasting. If there is any green or black corrosion, use a dental cleaning instrument and a very gentle hand. 
  I highly agree about using Wright's & dish detergent.  Apply and polish with cotton swabs (such as Q Tips) and pipe cleaners in tight places. 
  After rinsihg with water and drying, finalize with Hagerty's Silversmith's spray polish and a soft, cotton cloth.  Finally, protect against oxidation with lemon Pledge following each use.
