Just wanted to add that the older King sousas did have valve caps more like the other makes used. I have a 1927 model that doesn't have the recessed design valve cap and this horn is a dead ringer for mine. The ferrules, diamond shaped brace plates and especially that curved brace just below where the main slide spit valve, (oh sorry, "water key") make the body a King IMHO. The name "King" should be stamped on one of the piston casings. The bell is odd and reminds me of a large Eb sousa bell-but that may just be the photograph.
