I have used both the AKG C409 (obsolete) and the current AKG C419 with great success.
They come with a variety of connector ends, XLR for connection to a phantom-powered mixer, a mini-XLR for connection to a wireless bodypack, and a mini-phone plug for use with a 9 or 18 volt powerpack. This mic is particular good at preventing feedback where stage monitors are used or when one wants to avoid "crosstalk" from other nearby instruments. I have adapted mine for use with Shure's UC series bodypacks -- full bandwidth and very wide dynamic range (handles the loadest and softest notes well)

There are other comparable mics: Shure's SM-98, Audio Tech's clip-on, a very compact wireless from Samson, a Countryman?? clip-on, and others I'm sure.
