Regarding the playing of the other band's music . . .
When I was in, the team sucked so much that we would occasionally play the other team's fight song. This caused the band from SWT (the Bobcats) to sing us some beer drinking song in tribute. Loving the flattery, later in the game we played "Go Bobcats!" three times through: in Eb, E and then in A. All by ear. Damn good band. Of course, the UNT defense sucking so badly was what allowed us to hear "Go Bobcats!" to do this. Still a damn good band.
