Might I suggest you call LowBrasswerks about the Gronitz PCK? I've heard nothing but great things about them, and the Gronitz tubas I have seen show really fine workmanship. If you get one that's silvered it'd be just as pretty as the HB 50, less expensive than the 2165, and if you get a good one could well be a better instrument than either!

If I didn't already have a big horn, I'd seriously check them out, perhaps you should too!
